Hey @SPL, thanks for the feedback! Good news, its a planned feature, I will add hotkeys when the ui for the devices will be added. ✌️
Hey Sco! Thanks for the feedback! Something similar will happen in the early weeks of January, 2024!
They add in a printer appliance that uses the extracted blood to print out a results with a piece of paper with readable notes.
Or can you make the Diagnostic result not disappear but instead update its description with the results. the function also exists in demonius vaccine mod with their testing kits for the zombie infection.
I've also been extensively testing out some settings to make venturing into High loot areas bearable,
0.999 to max protection cap,
0.65 to gas mask protection
makes it so gas masks do 1 increments together with taking the tablets/syringe meds. Having the Hazmat + Meds does 0.01 increments which makes u somehow invulnerable to it but still getting a tiny amount of exposure in BUT once you get a hole on that Hazmat you aren't protected anymore and it uses up most of your equipment slot -- this justifies the protection needed.
I think setting pBodyDamage:setHasACold(true) when getting nausea is too harsh since the constant coughing/sneezing alerts the zombies. I recommend getting the foodSickness debuff instead:
`d40 = ZombRand(40)
pBodyDamage:setFoodSicknessLevel(30 + d40);`
60 foodSickness equates to nausea I think.
Lastly I have also set a "Easy" settings to the EffectsData so that the effects when venturing to High Radiation/Bio areas somehow managable. But its not a Sandbox Options setting. It would be great if we could set these.
Other than that being able to set the itemData for each medicine like the iodine/toxiguard pills would be nice! i've found that a 2.5x increase in duration makes it super useful, and a 2x increase in Reduction helps when you've "Accidentally" gotten your Hazmat damaged / forgot to check for radiation.
Oh and i've also set some more distribution to specific zombie outfits like the doctors/fireman/police/army specific zombies to have more of the medicine/testing syringes & kits. I've used up so much testing syringes because I had to test after each of my looting run and It seems I don't get enough of them. I like looting them more than crafting, its more enjoyable to hunt for them rather than crafting, like how "They Knew" mod is more popular than the crafting vaccine mods.
Once again i've been massively enjoying PZ with your mod it makes PZ a nuclear apocalypse + zombie survival game right now its so good! Thanks man! Just wanted to share these in case you needed some feedback. Cheers!
There'd be 3 levels of severity.
Light storms last about a day or so and have very little radioactivity, a gas mask would be fine.
Medium storms would require a hazmat suit, but they're stronger storms and being outdoors even while protected is still probably not super good. These storms last a few days. As long as you have good protection, you should be fine to travel.
Heavy storms, known as Code Black, would be the deadliest storms. They're peak tropical storms with high radioactivity. Seek shelter, cover up your doors and windows, do not go outside. If you have to, do so sparingly. Wear masks and hazmat suits, the strongest you can find. Stay away from windows and doors.
The commonness of these weather systems and their lengths could be altered in the sandbox options. An alternative option would be to have the whole world behave as one single hazard zone with the ability to spawn wearing a suit, giving a challenge to create a safe zone.
