Some suggestions :
- a mine for the miner, like the Books allowing the mage to produce Scrolls,
- fusion of the mounted fish and jukebox (😋)
- some way to make a tavern to have visitors coming, perhaps renting a room and buying some if y out items (from a spécial chest perhaps), and even giving some spécial quest ?
- New NPC class to produce leather and meat : butcher
I'm only writing from the top of my head, i don't know if these would be hard to implemente but it can give you some ideas i guess
Thanks for the mod

Awesome suggestions!
The Archeology update will require a certain type of technology, once that's implemented then doing the tavern will be easy to do, I will definitely note that one down.
The mine is just the ladder down the cave and expeditions already exist, no worries though, I know what you want out of it, and I have an idea! :D
The butcher is also interesting, he's like a merge between animal keeper and a hunter.

fish and music, oh my, oh my... :)

I want to have settlers fight each other. We have adventure parties now, that solves the issue of not being able to bring raid parties of AI. But the settlers don't fight other settlers, or the leading players even with PvP enabled in a different group, after the players have damaged each other.
I just want to watch settlers of different settlements fight each other. Idc the conditions of it, any way you could make it happen would be amazing.

That's not a bad idea, I always thought the adventure party system could use more options. I will have to think about it some more, but I will def note this down.

Honestly if you do find the time and it's any trouble, I'd be willing to compensate you. Coming from Arma, I'm used to funding mod development, and it would be more than worth it for my group of players. Just let me know, your consideration is appreciated.

I've looked into it and it seems like a very doable feature, I've added it to the to do list as an official upcoming update. You can join the discord server if you want to keep up with every little update that's not posted here or on the official discord.

I will do that, thank you. And yes, in my research I've found a mod that does similar things, but the mod is server exclusive and not available to put on our server. Thank you very, very much.

the new type of towns folk that builds a blueprint that you give it
badlose 22 Dec, 2023 @ 6:01pm
A few ideas:

- [Job board]. Wall mount. You can bank money inside it and have your miners, explorers, fishermen, etc continuously doing the quests that you select until it runs out of money. They will automatically dump their items in your storages after each mission. Settlers will wake up, eat, then head out each morning cycle as long as there is enough money to fund their quests.

- [Merchant chest]. Items designated inside will be removed and sold at pawnbroker prices (adjustable multiplier w/server config) at the end of the day cycle.

- [Vending machine]. For use in MP, install items and set your own price. Might be cool if there was shipping involved.

- [Big gates] - 3x1, 5x2, can going semi-transparent when open perhaps.

+1 for the Job Board and Merchant Chest.

The blueprints are great! To enhance the immersion, would it be possible to have a "builder" villager that can place items in the world and will build the blueprint? There was a mod in MC that had town management similar to this and the builder would build the houses block by block. Was kind of cool to watch.

So I'm guessing it's this mod that makes villagers attack you if you search a chest, cabinet or any container in them? If so, maybe an option to have it only happen if they catch you doing it?

I was in a house with no one around and they just caught me from opening a cabinet, killed me in 2 hits while I did 0 damage to them.

another suggestion is that you can make a settings menu for the mod so you can toggle parts of the mod, like for example, i want to disable villagers from wanting specific furniture and wood in their room because it takes too much time to modify all of their rooms to what they want.

Suggestion: A Local Guild Podium, wich allows you to assign npcs Adventurers to patrol the entire surface of the settlement map while they are awake as well as the caves below for you on their own accord.

As in they just wander around the entire level and not just the settlement?

Although an old suggestion, but this mechanic is going to be optional after the next update. Due to community feedback on the Discord server the combat mechanics will be separated from Settlement Expansion and will be released as their own mod, this is simply to allow people who aren't going to benefit from combat features to enjoy future updates without a lot of a headache on my side of things
