I also think it would be used as an anti-tank weapon. Although it could also be used for breaching, or as a man-portable bunker-busting weapon. At least as long as there's no collateral in the path of the beam. and given that it shoots gamma rays, it would probably be a bad idea to use it for demolition in populated areas (also, don't you want to have something to salvage after you demolish a building?).

potentially anti-armor, the gamma ray burst can go through even brick and metal, this could easily be used to destroy tanks, APCs, fighter planes, potentially even full aircraft carriers, definitely as a bunker buster too

For its range of effectiveness and its abilities, I believe it could be used for anti air, anti tank, anti personnel, anti ship, and anti defense purposes. It could also be used to vaporize trash and waste in mass amounts, allowing for an innovative trash collection system that rids of trash instead of melting or reforging, it just vaporizes it.
