Report a translation problem
I Instituted the fog because the map can be a pain in the backside to render, especially above ground where physical visibility control is limited. I intend to add a 3d skybox that will appear beneath the physical map so that when part of the map is out of the normal visibility range it will be replaced by the less-detailed skybox. Sort of like a mapwide LOD.
To answer your question, though, I don't believe there's a way to disable map fog clientside. Hopefully my plan for the skybox will help fill in the gaps.
