Total War: WARHAMMER III

Total War: WARHAMMER III

Tech-Tree Compilation (New Version)

5 minute fix for how to make this mod not crash the game before Decky actually updates it for 6.0.*
You have to open this mod with RPFM (Rusted Pack File Manager). Once RPFM is updated and you have built the dependency cache, you'll see a bunch of errors due to missing references. This is because the DLC changed the vanilla tech tree of the Greenskins, Ogres and Khorn.

To make the game able to start again with this mod enabled, all you have to do for is remove any changes this mod makes to those three races.

You can do this by searching for _grn_, _kho_ and _ogr_ unfolding all folders that come up and deleting the table containing those phrases in their name. Save the file and reopen it again in RPFM and you should no longer get any errors listed in the bottom.

At that point the game should be able to launch with the mod enabled.

Thanks again to Decky and for him bearing through the stress of a breaking game update. This mod is gold!

It's a tool to mod Total War Games and can be found on github (by Frodo45127). It can also be used to edit the downloaded files of any mod from the workshop and tweak it to your liking.

You could try asking ChatGPT or Copilot about how to use it and what to look out for when editing paks from the workshop. There is also a video ranking well with on google with a tutorial.

This fix is not needed anymore, since Decky updated the mod.

Maybe Steam failed in downloading the new version.

Try unsubbing, waiting for the workshop progress in Steam, then resubbing.

If you use the WH3 Mod Manager (highly recommended as it'll warn if you don't have mod dependencies) by Prop Joe / Shazbot it can also force redownloading of workshop files.

If that doesn't help, you likely have a another mod conflicting with this one.
