[ENG] [Ultimate Guide] - Immersive Medicine
Before starting the guide, I would like to say that reading it can be a bit overwhelming, as I tried to give as much information as possible, in a clear and direct way, but of course, without losing the organization of topics and information. Special thanks to froggx who helped me with the location and translation of the guide, as well with the Plasma - Erythrocyte system.

I hope you all enjoy it. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments of the post.

Lets start with the most common doubt:

How do syringes work?

I've seen several people having problems using the syringe, which can be a headache for beginners with this mod, it's very simple once you understand how to use it.

First things first. You will need a needle and a syringe.

The needle can be found in a package, you just need one.

Likewise, you will find the syringes in a package and you will only need one.

Okay, with that in hand, let's do the following.
Right click on the syringe
Select the option to attach needle to syringe
Now you have a syringe ready to be filled, we just need one medicine to it. It is worth noting that not all medications REQUIRE or are used together with syringes. Some can be used orally and I will explain them later.

Those that are applied with the syringe are:
Naloxon
Morphine
Erythropoietin
Alkagin

As an example, let's use Erythropoietin.

Get Erythropoietin from the package
Right click on the syringe
Fill with the desired medication (Erythropoietin)

Once you add a medicine to the syringe, it will change its “state” and take on the name of the medicine placed in it.

You can fill the syringe with up to 5 ml (units) of the medicine.

If you empty the syringe it will disappear from the game, so if you intend to use the same medicine again, it's a good idea to save it when it only has 1 ml left, so you can fill more later.

Ok, now you have the syringe with the medicine, how are you going to use it?

You will open your character's health panel and select the parts where an injection can be administered, which includes:
Arm
Forearm
Chest
Abdomen
Thigh
Shin

Depending on the medicine you put in the syringe, there may be 2 ways to inject it: intravenously and intramuscularly.

Intravenous

Intravenous application acts faster in the body but will also last for less time inside it.

Intramuscular

The intramuscular injection will take a little longer to work in the body, but it will last for a little longer compared to the intravenous injection.

Oral use

Using a drug orally is even simpler than using injections, but it's definitely something that I really struggle trying to figure out how it worked.

First you will need one of the medicines out of the box. These are all the medicines that can be consumed orally:

Morphine
Butamirate
Alkagin
Bismuth Subsalicylate
Umifenovir
Nasivion

Now, with the medicine in hand, you must open the health panel, select your head and then consume the desired medicine.

HemoStop

HemoStop is the simplest on the list of medicines, you just need to take it out of the packaging and use it when you are bleeding. It can be very useful if you have a wound on your neck as it stops the bleeding instantly.

To use it, simply select the part of the body that is bleeding.

A VERY SPECIFIC observation.

If you are trying to test the mod using a menu to spawn the items, you will NOT be able to assemble the syringe spawning the item in a DIRECT and SPECIFIC way. You need to spawn the package and then remove the item from it and this applies to ALL items that come within a package.

You can find all the medications, how long they last and how long it takes to work in your body here:

Blood system.

The blood system works perfectly well, and I will try to explain how each state of blood loss works, how to perform transfusions, as well as find out your blood type.

Blood loss

When you get hurt and don't stop the bleeding, your heartbeat will slowly start to speed up. The faster the beat, the more exhausted and incapable your character will become.

There are 3 levels of heart rate when you lose a lot of blood.

Heartbeat increases:

At this level, you’ll be considerably tired, incapable and a little sleepy. Nothing too worrying.

Heartbeat significantly higher:

Here you will suffer from extreme exhaustion and become very sleepy.

When you get here, you better choose a god and start praying.

The heart seems to jump out of the chest:

In this state you begin to feel stressed and have cloudy vision. (zoom limit)

From here on you can dig your grave.

These levels take a few hours IRL to recover to normal, so it may be a good idea to store blood for emergencies. So now, I will explain how transfusions work.

Firstly, how will I find out my blood type?

You will look for an item called “blood testing kit". To perform the test, simply open your health panel and select any part of your body and you will see the option to perform the test if you have the item on hand.

After performing this test, the item will fall to the ground and you can keep it for roleplay purposes, or you can check your character information at any time with “J”.

Performing a transfusion

Now that you know your blood type, you can perform a transfusion more safely. To draw your blood, you will need 2 items.
IV Catheter
Empty blood bag

Having these 2 items, simply select your forearm and “become a donor”.
Once this is done (pay attention to this part) a bag of blood will fall to the GROUND. This bag will contain your blood and you can store it in a refrigerator or donate it to someone who needs it more at the moment.

When you perform the transfusion, your character will be unable to catch his breath to the fullest, but as soon as his heart rate normalizes, your character will be able to recover normally.

Now to receive blood, there are 2 ways. Blood from players (you included) or blood from hospitals.

Players blood

You will need
IV Catheter
Full blood bag (Preferably a type acceptable to your body)

To perform the transfusion, simply have the items close to you, select your forearm and “perform blood transfusion”.

Blood from hospitals

Blood from hospitals will only be available in the first few weeks of the game, while they have not yet rotted. Using them is a little bit more complex.

You will need
IV Catheter
Erythrocyte suspension bag
Blood plasma bag

To carry out the transfusion, simply follow the same steps as explained above.

If your blood type is compatible you will notice your heartbeat slow down, otherwise you will experience an imminent and desperate death, so know what you are doing.
