this is a mechanic that make the forager poofier the longer you play and will increase kentic damage (because you are getting bigger) but this will make the forager less chonky when you start but it lets you get signifgantly chonkier the longer you play
appearance: a red, very skinny, streamlined slugcat that has multiple glowing bulbs in its back to keep itself warm, the right half of its head was replaced via a gun-like apparatus with a scope that could extend to the left eye. on the right shoulder of this 'slug cat' there is a ammunition belt going from a large box of ammo to the gun itself which is located on the lower back of the sentry
lore: the sentry was made by an unknown iterator to catalogue the cold wilderness beyond the range of the overseers, with 4 large heat-emitting bulbs in its back to keep it from freezing, it defends itself via a 70 mm rifle strapped to its face that will usually kill most creatures with a single shot. using a purposed organism on the armoured box on its lower back, it can generate infinite amounts of food and ammunition via consuming the sentries waste and turning it into ammo and food. but due to the sentries ravenous appetite the purposed organism is somewhat useless because of how slow it is at producing food and ammo. before the sentry fires its gun it would 'charge up' the shot before firing, nestling into the ground to help the light slug-cat take the recoil, at a cost of being vulnerable to threats behind it, but as compensation it can use the already charged up shot as a 'double jump' sending it high into the air with a chance of hurting its combatant if the bullet accidentally hits.
why does it attack the forager: it sees the forager as competition for food and as a food source itself so it will attempt to snipe you first before using spears
main mechanic: its shots take 12 seconds to 'charge up' before firing, giving the forager a chance to get to cover before the sentry takes another shot, however if you are too slow and you get close enough the sentry will un-nestle itself from the ground and use its charged up shots recoil as a jump boost, sending the sentry to a different firing spot, stand away from it while doing this however as if you go under it while its jumping you will be killed by the rifle
appearance: a big, fat dark green coloured lizard that drags itself around with 6 strong yet small legs and a stubby tail. it has tiny black beady eyes and a maw filled with sharp teeth.
ability: shooting rocks out of its mouth to stun prey
lore: this lizard is the descendant of the classic green lizard, having grown another set of legs to help move itself around like the caramel lizard, but having a full coat of fur to keep it from freezing to death. unlike other lizards this one has evolved a small pouch in its body to store items! which it uses to stun prey with!
