How to stop ship boarding?

I lost an hour game because I figured my ships crew would handle it. So what do?

Try getting Assault Raptors and have them land on your ship.
Worst case: scuttle

I also do micro tactical jumps to reset the timer. It should give your viper wings enough time to regroup and hit the boarding ships.
