The Mackimore(sic) got picked for a campaign and possibly intentional its engine is partially outside of the hull and thus degrades rapidly from water exposure. similarly many of the other subs with constantly over volt due to the reactor controls and players spawn in front of the electrical junctions which has several times causes back to lobby on start because the entire crew died in a fire at the start due to overvolted junctions.
Please say which subs specifically have locked wiring up top, there should be very little to none of that in most subs.
The electrical issues are partially intentional, It's caused by the battery backup especially V1 (the non circuit box one). Inorder to be absolutely sure the subs with it never undervolts whenever it detects it it haults charging immediately, usually dumping ~2000Kw strait back into the grid rapidly until the undervolt stops. Usually it's manageable but this tends to get exacerbated if the reactor's auto controllers are fighting.
I justify it as being the tradoff for never undervolting, but of you understandably don't like the oversensitive grid just isolate/disconnect the batt backup.
The Merrimack-c does have the engine partially outside intentionally, the non challenge version does not
And lastly I'm working on waypoints rn, I think the update messed some of them up.
reamer: the top docking port, when destroyed, doesn't allow water in (when open, it also has a sliver of water which doesn't change much but it is visually unpleasing)
this makes me believe that oxygen gens prioritize filling the sub with air before filling the oxygen tanks (which results in the oxygen tanks inside the oxygen generator not filling if there isn't 100% air quality everywhere)
