Thanks, you're probably right about them being inspired by Santorini. The city I was thinking of in the Dragon Quest XI was Puerto Valor.
Not sure where your misunderstanding is bro. I didn't doubt that Santorini is a real place... I said they are probably right the designers were inspired by Santorini when designing Puerto Valor. However, it's entirely possible the developers went to other cities in the Mediterranean Sea region besides Santorini, to come up with the final design of the fictional city in DQ11. Hence the probably... Your comment and the others were unneccessary for this thread.
