over the years of me playing L4D2, i have noticed an issue that has since been happening to some people with and sometimes without graphic mods, and i know the cause of it.

have you ever notice that sometimes the zombies have black skin? and that the windows are not see through sometimes?

this issue happens when you Alt-Tab during a loading screen while you are in full screen mode.

I've yet to truly find out why this happens, but my guess is the game isn't loading the textures right when the game window is not in true focus or something.


EDIT !: alt-Tabbing is perfectly fine in Single Player, the zombies look normal.


Edit 2: found the true cause. if you Alt-Tab in a Multiplayer game, doesn't matter if it's Local Host, Dedicated, or Best Avalible Dedicated. if you are in FULL SCREEN (NOT borderless full screen) and you ALT-TAB while in the middle of a loading screen (such as loading into the first chapter of a level, or after you enter a saferoom), the zombies WILL have the black skin texture
