I am really not playing this the way it was intended huh.
Honestly, if the starting rep with scavengers was a lot higher than 20, then I would probably feel bad. Since that's not the case, it wasn't hard to just do my usual gameplay style.
So... why does entering a room with a cyan lizard just set your regional rep with lizards to -100? Like, it isn't that hard to feed it and tame it anyways, it just makes it a bit more tedious. It's more like cyan lizards inspire every lizard to hate you... even if its your own tamed lizard.
It was annoying, but you can just visit echoes to unlock the shield ability rather than visiting Pebbles. I don't even know what Pebble's dialogue for this slugcat, I should probably go see.
The inability to eat scavengers seems odd when the starting rep with scavengers is only 20. Unless there is a deeper lore reason, it just looks like Glacier has had minimal interactions with scavengers, a few being positive before you take control. This doesn't seem to warrant Glacier refusing to eat them.
Now that the criticism(?) is out of the way, I'll say a few things that I did like.
The ice spears are very cool, although they are rather over powered, they were certainly fun to use. It's nice to be able to easily kill vultures without them running away like chickens.
The glide is basically just a temporary flight, which was oddly satisfying to use. Combining it with a back flip to be able to fly above targets and throw downwards was really fun. Although I feel that it should have half its current flight time or have a longer recharge time, because it is by far the most overpowered thing about Glacier right now.
I am very glad that this slugcat has normal carnivore consumption of food, as it would have been very tedious if it had Gourmand's half food from corpses. It was still decently challenging to obtain food (since I'm a lizard pacifist), but not so much that it was painful.
Overall, this mod is rather good, it has a few things that I dislike, but that's par for the course. I hope development of this mod goes well!
In fact, Glacier was initially raised by iterators and was rescued by scavengers during task delivery, so it may be more inclined towards scavengers
I'm still watching, maybe I'll add more. Thank you for playing!!!
appearance: the inimicus is a tall, lean grey slug cat with multiple robotic attachments like an robotic arm and the right side of its face being robotic, the left eye of this slug cat is an 'X' symbolising that its was once dead
lore: the inimicus was once a slugcat that managed to go through the insides of an iterator, getting shocked and its arm removed during the process, dying once it reached the iterators main chamber. only to be upgraded and improved by the iterator. given only one task to repay its debt, which is to hunt down and eliminate the glacier and re-deliver the package.
abilities: since its body is kinda dead it can take alot of spear blows in the fleshy parts of its body, with its main weak point being the robotic side of its head, which kills the inimicus instantly if hit with a weapon. its second ability is that it can use its sharp robotic claws to scratch predators that have grabbed it. giving it a random chance of escaping. its final ability is due to the iterators upgrades it can store 6 spears in a revolver like apparatus on its robo-arm so it can quickly draw the spears out.
