Prague is an interesting map as it comes off more as an art project than it does a fleshed-out campaign. While its visuals are quite remarkable and do a good-enough job at representing the actual Prague, it's held back greatly by its unremarkable gameplay.

The game's environments are quite stunning and do a good job at representing Prague. The sound design is also very excellent as it can easily give you the narrative of the campaign with good voice acting (AI or not) while delivering on extras, such as Czech music. The one severe downside of its visuals, however, is that the game's custom textures lacks mipmaps. This means that the visuals are EXTREMELY NOISY and are quite an eyesore; ashame since the art direction is on point.

Gameplay-wise, Prague is pretty boring. The biggest issue with Prague's level design is that it's far, far too open of a map for its own good. While we as players can admire the scale of the maps themselves, the biggest issue is that the gameplay just doesn't work well with it. Everything is far too open, and I can say most of my fun came from being inside the buildings. However, this logic is flipped in Chapter 3 as an infinite horde ends up making this chapter a nightmare because infected can come from all directions.

Overall, while Prague is a visually stunning map full of fun Czechoslovakian gimmicks, its gameplay and level design just don't work well.

My final rating: 2.5 Stars

Pros:
Great art direction
Effective sound design

Cons:
Levels are too big
Difficulty inconsistent
NO MIPMAPS

Update 1!

Some mipmaps have been added to textures. While this doesn't completely rid of the visual noise, it at least softens the presentations, allowing players to better appreciate the environments.

Environments have also been touched up a bit to be more expressive, and difficulty is slightly raised but is also more consistent, especially with Chapters 3 and 4.

Only main issue I have with this campaign is just reducing the scale of the map so that the map will still appear huge while players and infected have a better sense of direction.

Overall, this is a very good update, especially with the mipmaps. Thank god for mipmaps! ✨

I hoped this would earn me more than 1 point, but thanks for even checking up on this

I personally just find the map okay now, but that's not a bad thing. I replayed it, and ended up having a much better time compared to the first.

The biggest issue with the map in my opinion is the scale. The playspace is far too big for a map like this. Your narrative makes it seem like the infection spread quite far, so try representing that in your levels to squeeze the playspace a little, whether that's crashed vehicles, fences, even landmarks.

P.S. Thank you for the mipmaps.

I really don't think I can add much more without the levels looking cluttered. This will probably always be an open campaign, I thought people would appreciate spending most of their time outside. Personally I've had enough of campaigns with dark hallways and dirty sewers.

Anyways thanks for the reviews, I didn't even know mipmaps would fix the overbearing sharpness, that was a nice suggestion.
