Super short and kind of sweet. 3/5 stars.

After Dark is a great-looking campaign that doesn't stick around long enough. The parking lots, shopping malls, and fairgrounds here look as good as anything Valve ever made, if not better, thanks to a focus on vertical architecture and detailed vistas. Unfortunately, the aesthetics aren't supported by the strongest foundation. I was shocked to learn that my playthrough of all three maps only took 20 minutes even though I was in no rush to finish.

As for the campaign's level design, there are no gimmicks or outlandish moments — for better or for worse. Everything is paced and balanced well, but the short runtime and the lack of dialogue, custom graffiti, or any narrative elements made me feel like the mod is missing a sense of personality and purpose. Some aspects also feel janky or inconsistent, but it's nothing that will ruin the experience.

Overall, this campaign looks nice and it's a fun way to spend 20 minutes, but I was left wanting more.
