PPV Self destruct doing weird things
I've noticed couple strange side effects when a downed PPV self destructs and I'm still on the planet. If I'm in render range when it does, the vehicle I'm flying eventually becomes stuck in place as though the air around it slowly freezes. If I have left render range I get a strange flickering that starts in the direction the PPV went down and eventually becomes all encompassing. In both cases the icon is still on the map but flickering Relogging will fix the issues and remove the icon, but it does make one wonder why they use the self destruct feature rather than simply despawning outside of render range (which I think they do as well?) Is this the only way to remove the icon from the map?

Has anyone else experienced this? Don't want to waste your time troubleshooting an issue if its local to me.

Oh don't worry about that. That's exactly what GitHub is for actually. You can search for your issue using some key words, and if you don't find it you can make a new report and I can respond on there then.

I started a single player game and tried to reproduce the effects reliably and I was only successful once out of three attempts, and even then only partially: after one ship self destructed, my rotational movement slowed to a near stop, but would return to normal as long as there was directional thrust as well. The last time I experienced this it was all movement that slowed. The other 2 times I grounded a PPV there was there was nothing abnormal after it disappeared.

If I can find the conditions to make it repeatable (or at least better than one in three) in single player or on a server, I'll follow up on Github.
