Base still active after core removal?
I'm not sure if this is intended or a bug. I've seen bases with multiple cores in RE2 before, but they all behaved the same way where you needed to take out all the cores to shut down the base. This is different.

It's a [Zirax] Supply Station Lvl 1, and I attacked the top-center most area, destroying the core at the top of the long elevator shaft. As soon as I did, the shields shut down, all the exterior turrets shut down, lights shut down, atmosphere, and gravity. It LOOKED like it was fully shut down as expected when a base is cored.

However, some things are behaving strangely. I can't place my own core, locked doors show 'access denied', and worst of all enemies keep spawning on spawning pads until they're destroyed, as if they're still powered and active. Yet the power is definitely down, gravity is off, no O2 in the station, and the sentry guns aren't active.

Is this supposed to happen, or is something wrong?

If you go to place a core it would tell you that it still has a core.

Yes, and it does tell me 'wrong faction'. But if the base still has a core somewhere, why is most of the base shut down? Are some functions tied to some cores? Does the base now lose parts of its function when cores are lost?

The last time I did a base with multiple cores, it was 3 cores, and destroying the first 2 cores seemed to do nothing.

Yes it still has a core. Having a core doesn't mean the base still has power.

It's possible that I may have destroyed the generators somehow without realizing it, but do the spawning pads still work with no power?

The default setting for all spawn pads when they're first placed is that they work regardless of power state.

Okay, thanks. I'll have to keep that in mind in the future.
