Changing Stacks And Volume Capacity
I’ve set up a Dedicated Server using Reforged Eden 2, but we want to adjust the stack sizes and volume capacity. The current setup requires placing tons of cargo controllers with 40+ extenders, which becomes messy—especially since we’re accumulating large amounts of resources.

My question is: Is it possible to modify these settings in an existing save, or do we need to edit the scenario files and start a new save for the changes to take effect?

Best practice is to follow the guide to create your own version of the scenario and edit that as explained here:

I appreciate the effort, but to be honest, I wasn’t looking for a full guide, just a simple confirmation. A quick yes or no would’ve been more helpful in this case.

Well it's not a simple yes or no answer.

Yes, you can adjust stack sizes and volume in an existing save game, with some jankiness depending on what exactly you're changing and what you already have in your inventory. But if you don't follow that guide your changes will be overwritten by updates and could potentially cause your ships to blow up or other nasty things to happen to you including blueprint or save game corruption, depending on what you change.

Also keep in mind I cannot support editing the configs, so if you do, you are on your own if any issues arise.

I am aware of any issues that might arise from it. Based on reading what was written it essential tells me that the only way to change stack size on all normal items such as resources and building blocks and the volume capacity on containers I would need a new save. when running a dedicated server I can say that it does not create config files for you to edit other than galaxy. moving config files over to a "save" does not applies does changes.

You edit the files in the scenario itself. They will apply to an existing save.
