"claimable asteroid" ?

So, what is a claimable asteroid? I am here but I don't see anything but what looks like rock.

I do notice, though, that the overall shape does bear a slight resemblance to the pirate asteroid bases. (?)

You can place a core on them and build on them. Like a pirate asteroid base if you so wish.
