RE2 has now been updated. In the change notes it shows what only shows up in a new save.

Is there a way to transfer a playfield from the old version to the new update? I'm only on the part of the story where you leave the planet for the first time, but spent ages digging out a base in a mountain and would rather keep it for the playthrough.

Given the new RE2 update, it is best to start with a new save, there is a way to keep the players and their lore structures on the new save
