Unlikely that they will, really. It takes a lot of time and effort to port the Gotterdamerung stuff apparently, can't imagine how things would go with the Graveyard of Empires content in 1.16.

why is it that my fav mod (north america divided) breaks with gotterdamerung and then when i try a new, non-world map mod it also has to break

I've been told second hand knowledge, a guy in the discord, that the devs said they were not going to work on it anymore. Not sure how true that is, but it's been a good while since the mod has last had an update so it makes sense.
The reason the mod crashes right now is because the use of non English letters in the state names I'm pretty sure, as the big update recently doesn't like mods that have those(for some reason, sadness...)

is there a way you'd could get that to work with toolpack? Either the magna europe one or the official one?

I made my own toolpack for it Di Do Monglo, it should be in the description of that mod. It may not work now that I updated the mod again and changed the title, if it doesn't then I will go back and update it.
