Brief Review
The concept of this scenario is fantastic and should be explored as it is very interesting – parasitic-type plague with the necrovirus-concept of altering the infected. That said, this particular scenario needs a heavy bit of polishing before it can stand-up to the release plagues or retain replay value. The infection-stage is ridiculously simple, especially considering that there is only a single mode of infection for the majority of the early game which is handed to the player. I had infected the entire planet in four minutes with only the Intimate Contact mode of infection. The release is full of linear trees, making the evolution of your virus non-unique and decision-less. The only method of victory is to follow these linear trees to a single mutation which permits you victory. Variability of gameplay based on difficulty is non-existent and no special abilities are available. You may also want to once-over your mutation descriptions as there are a few with grammar errors and a few that don’t actually make sense grammar-wise. All of that said, I really look forward to a finalized version of this release, as it does have both potential and a fun concept.
