General thoughts of the update @ 16th of febuary
Visual changes
  • I like the new pimp slap (back hand) icon, I didn't even know what the previous one was supposed to be.
  • I wasn't able to notice any other icons or even animations to talk about.
  • One thing I would love to be changed, is to have the hitstop for the grounded playful cloud ability to not last as long. As it is, in the replays, it really feels like it pauses the battle for a split second, instead of just keeping the combo going.
Cursed rock changes
  • Being able to choose the speed and distance is great, no other way to put it.
  • The reduced gravity isn't very noticeable, but that's fine, I can appreciate the buff in range.
  • The coolown is kinda eh, doubt it'll be very noticeable in an actual fight, as I don't find myself really using the cursed rock that often to begin with.
  • What I would like added/changed, is to make either the swap buttons faster/toggles, to make combo extensions with the rock easier, instead of using it to close the distance, OR, alternatively, adding an "auto" toggle for the rock throw, to make either you or the opponent swap automatically after a couple moments, with the only way to stop it being to be hit during/before the swap (like robot's LOIC). I feel like this could make combo extending much easier, but also break up your (the todo player's) combo on accident, if you were to throw a rock earlier with the "auto" toggle turned on for whatever reason.
  • Having the rock actually swap with you instead of just disappearing would also be a good detail (like ninja's substitute).
Balance changes
  • RIP sweep ki(ng)ck, I used to spam the hell out of you, I can understand why the change was made though.
  • I thought that boogie out already didn't have invulnerability frames, no wonder no one could hit me LOL. That was a huge oversight and I'm glad this change was made.
  • I don't know when the clap (fakeout) ability used to activate, so I can't really comment on it, just glad to know this information now.
  • Didn't notice any changes to the pre-existing aerial moves.
  • Again, I can understand why the change to the hustle was made, but still sad because I used to use it every chance I got, and got away with it pretty easily.
Added moves
  • I like jawbreaker, it's a solid move, though a bit slow. I can see myself use it in the future
  • Kickflip is an interesting one, I like to see a move that attacks high, and this ain't it. It goes up a bit, but just not enough for it to be viable against anyone more than 5ft over you. Honestly giving me robot flashbacks.
Misc
  • Most the grounded attack moves seem to be 8f, which is fine, but it makes it so that parrying for the opponent is really easy, as there is almost nothing to predict.
  • The only way to attack opponents that are above you while grounded is to use back hand, kick slam, which don't go very high, or the cursed rock. (it's fine, I'm just cherry picking here).
  • The first smear frame on grounded playful cloud appears to be at around f15, while the first hitbox appears at f18. It just feels off when watching replays, so maybe change the animation for that too?
  • All the grounded attack moves (aside from grab) dash forward a bit, which gives you not a lot of options when the opponent is right next to you.
  • I don't know what implications this would add, but making the quick slap move swap positions with your opponent would be a cool mechanic, as a nod to his fight with mahito.

about the march update, I understand taking boogie out away, however making boogie woogie cost levels was the worst decision possible and ruins the character, and it seems like all the most recent comments on the mod agree so please at least revert that change if nothing else
