Is it normal for the Collector/Junkman to Delete Items

when i found the new collector turret near the scavenger base it grabt my weapon and after destroying it it was not dropped is that normal and is there a way to get it back

Edit: I found out it only deletes items in multiplayer

PS: English is not my first language pls dont mind any grammatical mistakes

I think this is a specific issue with the multiplayer mode. I will fix it.
