A Guide To Merry Mountain
This page will cover everything you should know about Merry Mountain. It will not include any easter egg steps or story references, so you don't have to worry about spoilers or anything here. I will post an easter egg guide on a different page.

Hopefully this guide helps some people out, and if there's anything else you want explained or added to the guide, please let me know!

PERK SPAWNING
Perks will spawn randomly at different locations in the game. You can unlock a perk by killing enemies nearby. You get Green, Blue, Yellow and Red present boxes, and each one contains a perk matching (or somewhat matching) that present colour. The present box also displays icons on showing the possible perks that could be inside. However, where a perk spawns and the kill requirements aren't complete random. Certain perks will spawn at certain locations only.

Perk locations are split into 6 different groups based on how far away they are from the starting area. Certain perks can only spawn in certain perk groups. Here is a list of those groups, where each perk is located in each one, the kill range for unlocking the perks in that group, and what potential perks can spawn inside.

PERK GROUP 1 - Kill requirement is 3 to 7 kills with a 35% increase per player
- Location 1 - In the spawn area on the right side of the path in front of a house.
Only Ultra Revive can spawn here.

MORE PERK INFO
- You will start off with a 4 perk limit.
- You can expand that limit to 8 by completing the challenges in the top-left corner.
- Upon completing all challenges, you will be given a permanent perk at random. This perk will not be lost, even if the player dies. The only perk that cannot be given permanently is Ultra Revive.
- 4 perks have had a rework, these are Ultra Revive, Timeslip, Muscle Milk, and Death Perception.
- Ultra Revive will give the player a self-revive even on co-op. The player will automatically be self-revived after 10 seconds. With a successful self-revive, the player will keep half of their perks at random. Another player reviving the player with Ultra Revive does not count as a successful self-revive.
- Timeslip will decrease the cage unlock time from 90 seconds to 60 seconds. It will allow interactions with the mystery box and pack-a-punch to be instant. It increases bleedout time from 55 seconds to 110 seconds. It gives the player the option to manually open the cave walls.
- Muscle Milk will always make a knife swipe be insta-kill. Occasionally an electric burst will kill any enemies close to the knife swipe.
- Death Perception lets you see enemies through walls. It will not result in death upon falling into the water.

DEATH AND RESPAWNING
This map's death and respawning system is a lot different to most maps, so it may be confusing to some people. Here are some key points about these features:
- Downed players will freeze to death (bleed-out) faster when they are not moving. You will bleed out after 55 seconds (110 seconds if the player has Timeslip), but this time is decreased by 2 seconds if you are not moving.
- If playing Survival Mode, players will respawn after 2 minutes.
- If playing Story Mode, players will respawn shortly after death, but inside a cage. You will keep ONE of your weapons depending on which one you had out before bleeding out. Players can free caged players by unlocking their cage and beginning the cage unlock process. If a player is not saved within 5 minutes, that player will lose their weapon and the cage unlock process will start automatically.

OTHER STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW
- The cave walls on the spiral slope open and close randomly every so often, however players with Timeslip can manually open and close these walls whenever they want.
- The cave walls aren't the only way to access the cave. You can take the route at the top of the spiral slope and drop down which requires PHD Flopper, or you can take the cable way, which starts at the ledge above the ice rink and ends at the cave entrance. This is a more risky path though.
- If the cave walls close behind you, your only options are to wait for them to open again, jump off the map with Death Perception and get respawned outside the cave, or take the cable route back to the ledge above the ice rink.
- The train will cycle the map every so often and drop coins in three different locations, these locations being the spawn area, the halfway point of the map just before the bridge, and the top of Merry Mountain.
- Yellow coins are worth 100 points, but sometimes a red coin will drop which is worth 1000 points.
- Bosses will only begin their spawning sequence after the first door is opened.

SGT SPIKE'S TIPS FOR MERRY MOUNTAIN
I'm probably not the best player at zombies, but I have managed to beat this map several times. If you are struggling, here's some tips that may help you out:
- Try to unlock all three presents in the spawn area before opening the first door. You can take your time in this area, as bosses do not start their spawning sequence until that first door is opened.
- Prioritise finding Juggernog after unlocking the first door. It can be hard to survive the Mega Drybonzai bosses without it.
- If playing on story mode, try to fill up the perk soul boxes at the same time as unlocking a cage. Most perk boxes are positioned inside at least one zone for a cage.
- If you are struggling for time, always buy Timeslip.
- If you are struggling against the bosses, always buy Muscle Milk. Muscle Milk can easily kill them in just one knife swipe.
- If you are struggling overall or want to add more strategy to your gameplay, try out Death Perception. Seeing enemies through walls is actually really helpful on this map, especially for areas such as the spiral slope. There are also occasions where falling into the water is actually beneficial, such as when you're in the cave and the door has closed behind you.
- Always buy PHD Flopper. There are too many high elevation points on this map to not have it and it could cost you a death later on.
- For story mode, make sure to pay attention to how many presents are in each cage. 58 presents spawn in total and you only need 50 presents, so cages with only 1 or 2 presents in are usually a waste of time.
