I have no idea if this was a problem with the original mod but when I look through a portal the other side's skybox just isn't there.
sometimes, when i get closer to the portal, the skybox goes black. actually most of the time, but the amount it happens varys.
(but i believe this issue is just because the portal gun in portal wasnt meant to render skyboxes)

Currently I am rewriting the skybox render code, if you have Doors installed that could be way as its not meant for it, I am tryign to integrate it into it tho

Bug 1: The portal gun doesn't detatch the cameras for mounted portal. BUG 2: None of the turrets, (portal AND HL2) can see though the portals. BUG 3: the portals allow the player to clip through props. BUG 4: Objects of all kinds fall through the floor, be it a turret, a prop, or an entity, Idea on how to solve bug 4: Create an invisible prop (with no collide against the target going through the portal) and attatch it to the target, when the target is done with its journey, the invisible prop gets deleted. BUG 5: Rocket turrets (portal mouted) can't shoot through portals. Hope this helps!

here's a list of bugs from the OG mod. some of them were fixed like being able to see portals behind walls, but many others have not been fixed. hopefully this rework will fix the majority of problems

Speed boost is intended and I have no intention to fix it.

the major bugs such as the errors is wip, as I did not know about these until now.
In my testing build prop physics are already fixed

when you place portals above and below yourself and infinitely fall through them, you start spinning (which is intended and not a bug) but if you look straight down you slowly start looking at the horizon which doesn't seem intended nor logical

also when you place a portal on a physics prop it isn't welded to the prop

portals are visible from the skybox even they aren't part of the skybox (make a portal in flatgrass and see how it looks in the skybox, its hard to explain)

when portals are not aligned with any of the world axises, it will not assist you into walking into them

when going through a portal and placing the opposite portal upwards, it can create very weird bugs like placing a portal ontop of a portal, or making a portal overlapping but on a side outside of the map

placing portals on infinitely thin walls (like the one on gm_flatgrass) will generate visual bugs

if you place portals enough on a frozen object, you can move it (if the respective option is enabled)
