Juvenile dragons are misspelled as 'juevenile' in the names of the unit and spell description. Elder dragons description says "There magic only to the ancients" when it should be 'their'.

The 'Summon Jeuvenile Dragon' spell makes no mention of the possibility of getting a gilded scale dragon rider. Could be intentional as a nice surprise, but I figured I'd mention it. They're also not using the new mount system, which might be an oversight or might be intentional - they are mentioned as symbiotic and all.

The differences between even elder dragons and the dragon pretender chassis (lack of fear, no shapechange or dragon master) I can write off as not being godly upstarts, but it seems odd that dragons aren't sacred to the nation of dragon-worshipping dragonkin.

I will say, for a nation that I first took as analogous to a kobold horde, dragonkin berserkers are a startlingly effective and tanky chassis. Prot 15 in EA is pretty solid, and an effective att 14 battleaxe hit will put the hurt on most things. It almost feels like a sleeping scales nation, which seems hilariously appropriate.

If you want any help with flavour text, I'd be happy to offer. I dunno if you're familiar with the Dragon Fanatic mod for CoE 5 but I helped Maverick out with most of the unit/spell flavour for that.

Also, for a nation whose cap site gives 2 fire gems and 4 of other kinds, they are hungry for fire gems to feed those national rituals. Have you considered taking a page out of Hellenika's book and offering alternative versions of the rituals paid for through other paths? Maybe at a higher research level, to maintain the fire focus?

Thanks for the spelling fixes!

That problem stemmed from me being a goober and copying the stat block from Juvenile dragons to the multi-hero chassis and not being bright enough to remove the montag I have for the spell to randomly grab a dragon. The reason for not using the new mount system is that the developers have not added an ability (which to be fair would almost never ever even see the light of day) to give mounts magic. The dragons are of course magical creatures that can cast spells, but if they are made as mounts then they cannot cast, other than a really weird and totally buggered jury rigged solution, we don't have a solution.

We've been thinking on that, I'm talking with other people about ideas on balance, we're probably going to run some tests with having all the summons be sacred.

This is another thing that we are tweaking with balance as they are yes intended to be sort of horde like with being able to field rather large armies of smol bois. And it's funny you say that, as when me and Chronicler were designing the nation we discussed the ways we thought the nation could be played, and we did agree that the nation feels like a good playstyle is going good scales with a bit of a stack-stick bless.

I'll comb through the mod to see what you work with, I'm always open to suggestion if you want to message me via discord, if you're in any of the Dom discords just find me under 'LulusSugglebun'.

That could be a solution, we mostly wanted to keep the fire flavor as the cap mages are more fire focused, now technically any mage with high fire could be made a prophet and therefore cast the national spells, we thought it would keep the thematic 'Draconic Callers' as the primary casters (as the spells require H3), we might change the gem income of the cap site to be a bit more fire focused because as you point out they are fire hungry and there is no way to guarantee fire sites nearby.

Ahh, right, and you couldn't make the gilded scale knight the 'mount' because then you'd have a juvenile dragon with 16 nonflying mapmove and whatnot.

Mm, as it stands I think I'd probably ignore most of the smol bois save for those who offer additional capacities; blacks for underwater access, ice warriors for mweps and cold fighting (enough that I'd probably strongly consider defaulting to cold scales on the nation - it's not like mapmove 10 is ever gonna cover a lot of ground). I could see niche use for the poisoners and lightning bows, but like, prot 15 att 14 dam 24 battleaxes are just a hell of a thing to unleash on the world, y'know?

I don't know if it's overtuned, I've been kinda fried today and haven't been able to run expansion testing, so this is very much a first blush reaction. I can see various ways of bringing it down if they do need restricting though - make them terrainrec like the others, make them an xpshape of red infantry, if they need it there's options.

I'd almost swear we've been in a game together, but we don't seem to have a message history already - you might've seen me around under 'Dapperest Dragon'.

Worth noting, I worked with Maverick on the base Dragon Fanatic mod, not the overhauls by Colin or Nyx. I think they kept my flavour though, but I vaguely recall they added some extra unit dragon evolutions.

From what I've seen so far in my test there is a incompatibility with the Vanilla Sprite Overhaul, The Levies are replaced by a commander sprite and have the random element removed, in addition they are armed and armored with nothing, but retain the Proper description. They also have a price increase to 10G, 1R and 10 RP. i will further explore this mod combo to see if anything else is not playing nice together
