I found that when a pawn with the parasitic bond genes has a bond active, most Ideology and Royalty related rituals will instantly cancel themselves if that pawn attempts to start them (Anomaly rituals appear unaffected.) Cutting the parasitic bond acts as a workaround, but has to be severed every time the player wants to perform, say, a leader speech, a throne speech, or to upgrade a pawn's title. One of the few exceptions to this is the role change ritual.
