recruitment pool system
Is it possible to create a recruitment pool system similar to medieval 2 total war. I think it would be perfect for WH3s various monsters and variety of units. Preferably as a standalone mod, in case people dont want to play that way. Or would it be too much work?

Hi, thanks for the suggestion! I'll take a look. A big part of modding is learning how to change each aspect of the game. Once you figure out what changes what it's easy, but it's definitely something you figure out as you go.

With your proposed recruitment pool would that entail unit caps or a draw down of a pool/ bank of units? I'll look into how the system in ME2 worked 👍

If it's a bank/ pool of units it might work like the ROR except higher pool caps and faster refill. Like a limit of ten, and refill two each turn. I'm just brain storming now but it's pretty interesting.

Maybe a pool of units like the RoR. Something that showcases the rarity of the elite units and monsters in warhammer as well, by making those refill every 5-6 turns if possible. And the more rank and file units every 2 to 3 turns depending on the tier of the unit.

Black guard of naggorond and black deagon would retrain every 5 turns, a medusa and cold one knights every 3, and a dreadspear and non shield dark shard every turn. Etc.

This could also bring more strategy into the game. People using the mod would to have use all sorts of units instead of solely relying on the units that then can create doomstacks with. That would be possible with unit caps. But I think a recruitment pool would be more organic if done correctly.

Also based on the tier of the unit maybe you could limit higher tier unit to 3-5 between tier 3 and 5. That can be stored up and drawn from. Lower tier units could have pools of 10.

I don't know how difficult this could be. But just some ideas. Good luck if you decide to try and make such a mod!
