Bugs, Not Bugs and Gameplay Tips
Here is the complete list of things that are minor bugs, things that might seem to be bugs but aren't, and information on how to use the new powers of ART! Wood Elf. Feel free to post any questions you might have.

• My Rabbit Companion Fought a Dragon and Lived!

Not a bug. Every animal companion you make using the Befriend Animal power is protected, which means it cannot die unless you purposefully or accidentally harm it.

• My Goat Companion Killed a Troll!

Not a bug. The animal and creature companions are leveled. They level up with you to a specific level, which increases their health and combat skills. Animals and creatures not requiring any perks to befriend level up to 20. Those requiring the Novice Illusion perk level up to 40. Those requiring the Animage perk level up to 60. Those requiring the Kindred Mage perk level up to 80. And those requiring the Master of the Mind perk level up to 100.

• Trolls and Frost Trolls Won't Follow or Leave.

Known bug. If you tell your troll or frost troll companion to leave or follow, he might not obey. Recommended workarounds: If he won't leave, try waiting three days and he will automatically leave. Or if he won't follow, wait 24 game hours and use the Befriend Animal power on him, again. Activate (talk to) him immediately, and he should then follow.

• Trolls and Frost Trolls Wait When Sent Home.

Known bug. When troll and frost troll companions leave your service, they don't walk back to the place where you first met them, as other animals and creatures do. They just wait at the place where you tell them to leave.

• Animals Vanish for a Moment.

Known bug. When using the Befriend Animal power, the target disappears for a second or two and then appears to reappear. Actually, the script is removing the animal and replacing it with a follower of the same type. I'm working on a way to make the switch more seamless.

• Animals Don't Follow.

Not a bug. Two things to keep in mind: (1) After you use the Befriend Animal power, you must then activate (talk to) the animal before it will follow you. (2) You may only have one animal or creature follower at a time. If one is already following you, the power will not work on a second animal or creature. Dismiss the first one before using Befriend Animal on another one.

• I Don't Have Any Other Animal Followers, But an Animal Still Won't Follow.

Make sure you have the required perk for the animal you are trying to befriend. (See Animal and Creature Followers in the Description.)

• I Have the Required Perk, But the Animal Still Won't Follow.

Make sure you aim directly at the animal when you use the Befriend Animal power. It is an aimed voice power, so if you aim too high or to the right or left, you won't hit the target. Use the Calm Animal power if the animal is moving too fast.

• I Didn't Miss, But a Few Animals Still Didn't Become a Companion.

Reported Bug. In tests, the Befriend Animal power worked on each of the animal and creature races tested. However, there might be a few for which it does not work. If you find any, please post a comment letting me know the type of animal or creature. I'll look into it.

• Foxes and Rabbits Move too Fast to Hit Them With the Power to Make Them Followers.

Try using the Calm Animal power. This will make them stop running from you so you can more easily hit them with the Befriend Animal power.

• I Told My Animal Companion to Wait, But Now I Can't Find It.

No problem. Just wait three game days (24 hours x 3). The animal companion will automatically leave your service. Then return to the place you first met it, and it should be there.

• I Still Can't Find My Animal Companion, and I Don't Want to Wait Three Days.

That's OK. You may still use Befriend Animal to make a new animal companion. Your old animal companion will automatically leave your service, even though you did not tell it to leave.

• Will Making Animals My Companions Prevent Me From Completing Quests?

Unconfirmed. Save your game before you make an animal you are required to kill a follower. The script does kill the animal before replacing it with a follower, but this might not meet the requirements to complete some quests. Quests that might be effected:
- The Daedric quest III Met by Moonlight
- The Companions radiant quest Animal Extermination

• I Can't Get the Illusion Perks Fast Enough!

No bug. Working for rewards is part of what makes Skyrim fun, at least for some. One way to raise your Illusion skill faster, buy a copy of the Muffle spell from a mage and use it often, even when no enemies are nearby.

• I Can't Command or Calm Some Animals.

Not a bug. Just like with the Befriend Animal power, you must have the required Illusion perks to use the Command Animals and Calm Animals powers.

• I Can't Use the Slow Time Power.

Not a bug. Your stamina must be at least 95% restored before the Wood Elf Fury power will work. Make sure your stamina is fully restored before using the power.

• After Slowing Time I Have No Stamina Left.

Not a bug. In order to not be too overpowered, the Wood Elf Fury power damages your stamina while it is in effect. You must wait for your stamina to be at least 95% restored before using the power again. If you don't want to wait, try using restore stamina potions.

• I Used the Fury Power and My Two-Handed Weapon was Slow.

Not a bug. The Wood Elf Fury power does not work with two-handed weapons, but only with daggers, one-handed weapons, bows and crossbows.

• I Used the Fury Power but My One-Handed Weapon with Two Enchantments was Slow.

Not a bug. Like the Elemental Flurry shout, the Wood Elf Fury makes a weapon fast by temporarily adding a speed enchantment to it. If you weapon already has two enchantments, no speed enchantment can be added to it when you use the power.

• I Used the Fury power and My Weapons Were Fast, But I Still Ran Slow.

Known bug. When you use the power, your one-hand weapons and bows are normal speed or faster, but you run as slowly as others. I'm working on a way to increase the running speed when the power is in effect.

• I Went Into a Fort and the Tracking Power Didn't Work.

Not a bug. The Wood Elf Tracking power only works outside.

• I Was Outside and the Tracking Power Didn't Work.

Not a bug, you must be sneaking for it to work. Also, the power only lasts 60 seconds each time you use it.

• Vampires Don't Glow When I Try to Track Them.

Not a bug. The Wood Elf Tracking power only works against living people, animals and creatures, but not against undead or Dwarven machines.

---------------------------------------------------------

That's the complete list. But if you think you found a bug, or have questions on how to use the new powers, please reply.

Sly:

More than 5200 subscribers and you might be the only one experiencing a crash. I might be able to help figure out what other mod is creating a conflict. Which of the powers results in a crash? The detect life? The combat speed? The make animal follower?

The follower was the problem but after awhile it got back up and running best mod i have on the workshop keep up the good work

Sly: Glad you got it working. Might have been an issue with a mod that has an animal follower or changes an animal. Let me know if you run into any more issues.

I've tried to make multiple Chaurus Reapers followers, but they never move from their designated area after taming them.
Multiple=Different Reapers in different area's

Xeno: Thanks. It might be the nav mesh will not allow them to move to far while inside, so they don't chase you too far if you run away. BUT have you tried fast-traveling after you leave the ruins? They might follow you, then.

Just a quick question fella, (awesome mods by the way) is my Bosmer meant to be Spider Man? He's triple jumping so high I might as well be flying?

EDIT: Got it figured out, had another mod hidden away making me soar into the air like a pigeon. These tweak mods are fantastic, thumbs up.

Hi, Sp0ckrates, I found a crash issue and figured I'd let you know about it. Whenever Race Plus + is set before your mods in the load order the game crashes when you try to enter the Magic screen and look at/use abilities. If your mods are set first the abilities are fine but you don't get the cosmetic character options of Race Plus +.

It IS, however, possible to set Race Plus + first, create a character, exit and then set yours first. That way both mods can be used.

Hope that helps if anyone else has that problem. Great work on these mods; you've made Skyrim as fun again as the first time I played it!
