Have a cool base? Share it with others on DSTBases.com
DSTBases.com is a little side project of mine that allows people to share their creations with the world. If you have a cool base that you want to share, consider uploading it to the website to help it grow :)

If your creation is really good, I might even contact you to get it added as an official preset!

How to Upload Your Base
  1. Take a nice screenshot of your base.
  2. Save it using the mod’s recording feature (F1 by default).
  3. Export it by using the mod’s projection feature (F2 by default), clicking on “Open List”, and clicking export under your newly saved base.
  4. Locate the .json file of your base under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\data\unsafedata
    • It's not actually "unsafe" like the folder name suggests, that's just the only folder Klei allows writing files to.
  5. Login to DSTBases.com and upload your file, your screenshot, and a creative title / description!

How to Download Somebody Else’s Base
  1. Go to DSTBases.com, locate the base you want to download, and click the “Download” button
  2. Move the downloaded file into the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\data
  3. Go into any world in DST, enter projection mode (F2 by default), and import the file using the first import option.

Importing directly from the website used to be a feature, but as of a recent patch, Klei no longer allows external imports by any mods. This is a bit of a shame, but until it becomes a feature again, manually downloading the files is going to have to be the workaround.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions then please let me know below.
