Trivia time!!
I'm posting it here because i can't do it somewhere else on Steam (because of my level)
  • I begun working on the Workshop since December 23th-25th 2023 because Catcraze777 retired doing more Animal Crossing stuff, and i wanted to see Digby someday, so, i decided to start working on him by myself, to work on him i reverse engineered an Isabelle ragdoll made by Brewster T. Koopa, the first results were a buggy mess, he was untextured because i didn't worked on the textures yet, after many days, he finally worked, i uploaded him on the Workshop on December 25th, he was not finished yet, so time and updates have passed until i finally finished him on December 28th, and the rest is history.

  • After making Digby, i moved on to work on the rest of the special characters, instead of using pre existing physic meshes, i made my own, i used lightwarps to bright up the textures, however, later on, i decided to edit the textures to bright them up, phong shading was added later on.
  • I use Source Filmmaker to make the thumbnails, something ironic since i haven't made them available on SFM yet.
  • I always wanted to contribute something on this Workshop since i was on middle school and high school, but i didn't know anything about coding and stuff and i found the process very tiresome. However, i've got experience on reskinning, so that's a plus.
  • Wisp was the hardest ragdoll to work on because i struggled to rig him correctly.
  • I had doubts about working on the villagers, since it was tiresome to work on the materials code. However, i found a very useful method using Notepad++, just opening the .VMT files on the aforementioned software and replaced some lines on all open files, very useful trick by the way.
  • The map i use to showcase my ragdolls is tr_karma_rc, a map used by Karma Charger to demonstrate some TF2 Workshop weapons.
  • After the Nintendo Addons takedown, i lost the motivation to continue porting more models because i was afraid my addons would be taken down. Suprisingly, they're still active.
  • Because of this, i stopped making more addons regulary for a while, as i was getting burned out of working.
  • One day i asked myself "should i continue doing more addons?", and decided to resume my Workshop activity, and i uploaded the Wolves, Lions, Tigers, Squirrels, Hamsters, and Mice to the Workshop, as i previously made them available on OneDrive.
  • Despite this, i struggled with continuing, until my motivation returned as i only had a handful of villagers left to upload.
  • And finally on April 6, i finished them with the Anteaters, one of the species that Catcraze777 didn't make

Thank you for readimg!

Additional note: I originally bought New Horizons to experiment with Photopia, but i spent like 3 years playing the game non-stop.
