Pardon if this has been asked before, but for the destiny traits could gestalt node variants be added for some, like certain paragons allow for?

Unfortunately no, as the only way gestalts get destiny traits is by special events which involves legendary leaders, there won't be any way for them to get these traits as no legendary leaders use these traits.
