Q: How do I prevent certain types of units (Aliens, robots, etc) from receiving human dismemberment effects?

A: in the addons settings menu, change the settings for "Blacklisted Unit Classnames for Dismemberment"

Place the class names of units within the array in single quotes ' separated by a comma ,
EX: ['classname1', 'classname2', 'etc']

Important!: Not following the syntax will break the mod and cause issues in your game, please follow the format carefully!!


Q: My player gets vaporized and turns invisible for 30 seconds, how do I stop this?

A: Un-check the following setting "Vaporize Players"


Q: How can I disable all dismemberment effects on a specific unit at game time, without having to blacklist its class?

A: Using an SQF interface, enter the following code

_unit setVariable ["WIH_IsVaporized", true, true];

_unit being a reference to the unit object you want to disable effects on


Q: What does the setting 'Bleeding Tied to Unit State' under the 'Bleeding' category do?

A: If enabled, the bleeding effects will only show when the arma 3 game engine considers a unit to be 'Bleeding', a special unit state (ref: 'isBleeding' sqf command).

By default this is disabled and the mod uses custom calculations for a more realistic and satisfying effect.

Enabling the setting may enhance compatibility with other mods that rely on the "Bleeding" state

Q: Is this mod compatible with ACE/medical?

A: Yes
