Bug Reports
This is for the community to report bugs or other issues. Please provide clear and concise reports with as much information as possible, this will enable me to better figure out the problem.

Reports such as "the star destroyer is broke" will likely be ignored. This is also not a place to complain about which unit or faction you think is too powerful or too weak.

Getting a stutter issue in the campaign map. I don't believe it's my hardware, game runs smoothly in tactical, even when I flood the screen with fighter craft. It always did this a bit (so does the base remake), but since the last update it's slowed to a crawl.

Having problems on the galactic map since the last update. Game freezes every couple of seconds.

Yep, i can confirm there are some heavy performance issues in the galactic map, every few seconds the game freezes up for sometimes a minute or more and then again & again in short order until it lets you do something and the freezing randomly repeats shortly after. Right now pretty unplayable, you need like half an hour to make a few moves on the galactic map.

I'm having a similar problem. Currently playing Republic Hardliners and starting around week 40 it starts stuttering when in the Galactic map. I'm on week 80 and its freezing every 20-30 seconds for about 5 seconds at a time. It's gotten almost unplayable from the galactic map. I haven't played any other faction yet, but I'll see if the problem persists.

The problem persists with every faction I try. Starting at around month forty it just gets steadily worse as the game progresses.

For mine, playing webway lite, it starts after tech two and gets worse as the active factions take over more of the map. By the time around 70% of the map is taken by active factions, it's become unplayable. This issue happens in all versions of the grand remake to some degree just not this bad.

Confirming what others say about lags. Game really seriously freezing after upgraiding to T2, haven't tried playing just on T1, but will try further. Now playing CIS campaign, on T2 and really hard to play. Battles run really smooth, but galactic map can freeze up for about 15 seconds, and then continue to lag. Also noticed that after any battle game runs smooth for 10 secs and freezes come up again. My guess - something about AI behavior because as AI factions start to grow in planets and forces game starts to freeze more
If more information is needed I will be glad to provide it

Found 2 bugs for the Empire.

1- ton falk refit at tier 3 does not seem to work. It just puts the icon for the upgrade in the space slots and doesn’t upgrade the existing ones. Weirdly, can be moved to another planet if in an existing fleet but not if it’s moved on its own

2- vindicator anti-starfighter refit does not seem to use its advanced concussion missile launchers

The cause of the lag spikes seemed to be, in my game (playing as CIS), the empire remnants' AI. Once I took Csilla sector from them, the lag spikes went down 95%. Could be linked to the Starforge nextdoor having "infinite" reinforcements available making the AI calculates nonsense ? That is a mystery for the fellas who have access to the code. I'm going to backup theses saves, just in case. *wink wink*

I suppose that's possible. I myself am experiencing lag spikes (very severe for a few seconds, but not as often as before the recent Petro update) and my GC is Clone Wars, the only AI faction on the map is the CIS vs me (The Republic). I'm under the assumption it's just the AI *constantly* moving a bunch of units at the same time non-stop.

I actually managed to reproduce the bug on my game, just by moving my main fleet (1.8k) in a position where an AI (here, the Empire) with a good fleet (900) could reach it. I think it narrows down the problem to the way the AI calculates the possible outcomes of a fight, to decide if it's going to attack you or not. Don't know what Petroglyph did to create that situation though, no absolute proof it's them, not directly anyway.

Regarding the anti-starfighter vindicator, after some testing I found that the missiles do indeed work (random and or target squadrons of enemy starfighters at long distances being obliterated in an explosion out of nowhere) however it seems the visual for the missiles being fired is bugged and does not work
Deploying Liberation hero unit (Captain Shack) causes games to crash. Verified 3 crash events in Two different systems. playing vanilla submod, rebellion, kolto, tech 2.
