Seriously difficult, Seriously Fun! (Review)
I should start this review off(which might Seem negative) by saying this was one of the most fun maps I've played in Blops 3, The weapons, The unique mystery box mechanics, Voice acting which may just be AI but still its cool so much went into this map!

Now for actually playing it I will say it didn't start off strong, with a menu I haven't seen before that I had to rush through because I heard zombies starting to spawn, might be a good idea to delay them or put a stop to them till the player finishes with the menu(From what I understood it was a class system or something similar but it didn't seem to change gameplay much.)

Now after searching for the Mystery Box I did eventually find out some guns have infinite ammo which at first I thought was overpowered but later learned that some sections REALLY need it, on top of that I had Mule kick by default I wasn't sure if we had all the perks or just this one as weapons did eventually start to feel SUPER weak and I couldn't find a perk anywhere I went.

There was also what i'm going to assume is a quest gun from the box which was purple instead of yellow and kept telling me "not a headshot" on hits that weren't headshots go figure but It did that for the rest of the playthrough just to make note of it(Game ended with 600+ headshot kills I'm going to assume about 200 were from the purple gun).

Taking the head on a stick should probably have a warning saying it locks you into that progression as i grabbed it without realizing I would be forced to use it and run across the map into a very difficult survival.

At last we reached a boss and boy its fun, The constant spawning enemies compared to the flying boss makes a pretty neat micro management scenario as the boss can always see you so you have to be smart with movement and you can always sling bullets at it after mowing down a few zombies, that said the music for it eventually cut out and it stood in one position for the remainder of the fight(about 1/4 of its health).this is also where you need one of those infinite ammo weapons as without pickups like max ammo or instakill you exist off grenades(sometimes It felt random whenever I had them but I know theyre tied to the box in the bottom left but I just wish it had a number counter, but they also are "infinite" just with a cooldown so thats neat!) and whatever weapon you choose, I was using the "Huckleberry" if memory recalls correctly.

The Temple part was really tense with constant sprinters in a giant circle, I have not much else to say on it other than it really kept me on my toes.

Lastly we return to the starting area and this is where I encountered a bug, with the floating balls akin to the boss from earlier needing to be taken out by whatever you pick up(which says press E to use) despite nothing happening. Dying here just resets to an area previous so it just becomes a normal survival map with no real end and I would have loved to try again but I was already an hour in and needed to do others things.

Also I learned later that once your bar turns yellow you can use a special move or something similar but I tried all my buttons and it never activated so that mightve been another bug.

But thats all the most glaring things that took me away from the fun, everything else? Was Amazing

All the guns look super cool and have neato designs and even change mid combat sometimes(Like Rat King's eyes glowing).

The actual areas you get to fight in are super detailed, from the starting map to the snowy peaks every inch was filled with textures and bits and bobbles that just kept me staring at them even when I'm being mauled to death!

The introduction of a floating shooting enemy(not like the boss these ones were more flat) added target prioritization to the mix of regular survival That made strategic use of ammo and grenades a must

The mentioned regenerating ammo and grenades from earlier were a nice twist that I was not expecting and felt AWESOME even in areas where they were clearly intended for balance

Fully animated NPCS and dialogue thats just the cherry on top of this beautiful map.

TLDR: Its in BETA for a reason It has some bugs and is rough around the edges but its one of the most beautiful maps on the workshop and is some of the best fun I had in zombies in YEARS 8/10 would recommend even in BETA

Thank you for this feedback! im glad that you enjoyed it :)

Let me address some issues you found;

Mule kick - in Destiny you have 3 weapons by default

Primary weapons in Destiny have unlimited ammo, special ammo & heavy can be acquired by ammo bricks that drop after kills

The Super bar can be activated using the Q button or Both top triggers on a controller

The Siva ball should be thrown when using either the E button or tactical grenades (flashbangs) some people have rebinded their systems which is hard to combat

The text showing up in the bottom corner when some guns are fired are for Dev purposes, I decided to leave them in so when watching people play the map i could accurately deduce if the weapons were working correctly, this will be patched out soon

Music stopping in the boss fight is a bug, will need to look into a way of having the song repeat while also not breaking our checkpoint system

Hopefully this helps, all your feedback will go into making this one of the strongest maps i can possible put out

Oooo ok! There was some user error on my part then but I will certainly play this again!

I haven't really played destiny all that much in truth I had no idea they had infinite ammo.

I will be sure to not be skill issued next time but yes lovely map! You do an amazing job!

I've played your map a few times now and have really enjoyed the attention to detail. I've been a long time Destiny fan and played it since it first came out. I haven't noticed too many bugs except what other people have pointed out. But some of the things people have pointed out are a non-issue for me. I was trying to figure out the whole Vanguard terminal offline situation and wasn't sure where the other parts were located. I searched for awhile and could never find any of the other parts or fuses to finish that terminal E.E. but I was able to complete the other Workstation builds and side E.E., however I don't know if it was a skill issue or way to many zombies/fallen/scorn enemies but when attempting the iron temple Sepik's Prime mini boss it was hard, but maybe next time I could try a different load-out to see if that will improve my chances. Another thing I noticed is when attempting the whole map solo I can choose my class and sub-class or character, but when bringing in a friend to play co-op, it removed that choice and didn't allow us to use the supers when playing solo. I know a lot went into making this map and it is still in beta, I just wasn't sure if that was intentional or will be fixed in the future. Overall such a great homage to the Destiny-verse and will definitely recommend other players check this out if they themselves love Destiny and black ops 3 Zombies.
