Yes, this is planned for the upcoming patch.

i see it now auto assigns a cosmetic. any plans to make it selectable or not?

It's planned to use your tf2 weapon loadout as a seed for your Merc color and your hats.

Just finished a match with the tiny pills like 10 seconds ago and it's kinda annoying because now you never know if your enemy has 150 HP or ~210.
Most of the fights before the update were ending in like 2-3 really good shots which felt satisfying since you knew everyone had 150 HP, but now your enemy can backpedal and the pills that they accidentally bump into during the fight can be the difference between a kill.

It feels like it rewards people running away and not fighting, and encourages "clean ups" more because you're a low-health sitting duck after a 1v1 fight.

I know the pills have been around since TF2 Classic in 2015 but they feel way better in deathmatch than this mode. It might just be a kneejerk reaction to the change but I'll try to play more matches to see how it goes.

Also forgot to mention thank u for making the victory screen text bigger and fixing the last weapon button :p
