Just a reminder/clarification: if you get misplaced coal it's because you're using another mod that prevents coal from being used as fuel in houses. That is done by flagging coal as some other material category chosen by the mod author (generally Iron, but I've seen Wood also). Specialized Stockpiles only knows about categories and has no control over what items are assigned to which categories; it's not possible to have an item-specific stockpile.
So basically you have to choose if you'd rather endure coal in iron piles, or coal in house chimneys. :)
