That said I found the design boring, and decided to change it to be more recognizable as Demoman, while still being recognizable as a nod to the original mask from Dark Souls.
A fun fact: The person who did the textures, Hippie, has never played a game in the Souls series, but added a suble line of tears from the mask's "eye". He thought it made it more creepy (which is true), but also inaverdently added a reference to Dark Souls 2's Pharros Mask as well!
