i did some digging into the code and the addon itself and didnt find any links... unless its some obfuscated bs

sry. The point I'm trying to make is that I don't see a world where this addon is actually malicious. I believe this guy just saw an addon on the front page and decided to make unfounded claims in an attempt to ruin this modder. Yes the game ban is slightly suspicious, but that might just be from installing a mod he didn't know was banned

I ran both the Advanced Cloak mod and the Advanced Warfare mod through VirusTotal, nothing bad was reported. I looked through the entirety of the LUA files contained in both mods, I didn't find anything remotely suspicious. In addition, the creator has made good mods in the past.

Plus scripts in gmod can't really do anything to your pc, only whats in the game as long as the engine allows it. I wish that the guy gave proof rather than going around and spreading rumors and causing unnecessary panic.

Yeah, I only seen them on two addons I checked out but I fully expect them to be going around saying that the addon they're commenting on has illegal content.

i have to say its better to check it yourself, saw another post on the beatrun fork (mirror edge parkour mod) calling it a virus but when i checked it myself there was nothing, sometimes its possible the problem is on the person's OS or drivers with crashes and performance issues but i saw something about a game ban in this thread? to my knowledge garry mod does not have vac enabled but that was at least 10 years ago so maybe its changed
