Adaption Suggestions
add the wheel sound.

explosions such as a grenade, or beam rifle. this has to do with limb separation, crushing. I'm not sure if it's possible to track all of these damage types
but instead what you could do is add some form of limb regeneration. A mod you can look at the code from is the "Mutation syringe" mod. That mod has a syringe called the "Starfish mutation syringe"
this regenerates the character while also regenerating a copy of the character from the separated limb. Which you should be able to take that part out.
another mod that handles limb regen really well is AJIN:Demi-Human

laser weapons. you could also add reflection to the character so that the lasers reflect.

the disassembler/decimator/blackhole cannot be adapted to. I'm not sure how you would go about making the character resistant to these damage types without killing them fast enough
unless limb regeneration was added. so if a limb gets destroyed by most likely the disassembler because the decimator and the black hole just erase the character.
resistance can be built to decimation while not destroying all of the limbs of the character

shotgun can still destroy limbs when fully adapted to bullets. I believe this is crushing damage. just in case its not I put it here

I think adding adaptation to freezing, not talking about the cold freezing, would be interesting.
A lot of mods have time stops that just freeze the whole map. what if a limb is frozen for too long it auto unfreezes, and this effect can progressively become faster?

Damage from other mods such as the most common power "super punch" can't be adapted to.
I believe how punch powers work is based on the magnitude of the velocity of the "punch" which uses a collider the "Rigidbody2D" which applies blunt damage, explosive impact damage, and crush/disintegrates.

But some mods also just use something like "minusHealth" for the punch power which I'm not sure if that's a custom variable but it just takes away health directly from the player. which because these damage types are from other mods if they are custom values you cant really interact with them.

So maybe to adapt to this any time a certain percent of max health damage is done "if the characters limb is below 30% hp" the max health is increased incrementally. so if the character gets "punched" in the arm and the arm instantly loses all hp, the character's max hp increases by maybe 3%.

I believe this method should allow for a lot more adaptions to other mods.

For example the mod "Dragonball Playground" has beam attacks, that when the character's limb loses enough health and or beam damage is however much more than the limb/max health it just destroys the limb.

this method makes it possible to adapt.

Maybe adding in some attacks after you figure out all the adaptions, such as a punch power that does more damage depending on the adapted characters max hp. so the progressive adaption plays into how strong the character is.


if laser attacks are adapted fully maybe add some form of laser attack. so if the character is immune to laser attacks allow them to use laser attacks.


It doesn't have to be these examples but the idea is the more adaptions not only is the character becoming more durable but more powerful as well.

this isnt about adaptation but could you make a scp 682 mod by combining this with a limb regrowth mod that would be so cool

its unlikely we will ever get a scp 682 mod sadly, combine adaptation limb regrowth and custom entity and you get a coders nightmare.
