Temporal Assassin - Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What games do i need mounted into Garrysmod?

A: Hopefully none, however if you wish to play the respective campaigns you'll need to mount their games, those being HL:Source, HL2, HL2:Episode 1 and HL2:Episode 2

Q: Is my save file from the Legacy Version of Temporal Assassin going to work with the Workshop Version?

A: Yes, as long as you're not deleting your garrysmod/garrysmod/data/temporalassassin folder your save data is just fine.

Q: How do i bind the custom commands or change the difficulty and options?

A: After you load into the game, Press the Escape or F4 key on your keyboard to open temporal assassins Options menu, Click on the grey boxes to bind your keys, you can change your difficulty in the box at the bottom, the rest is just personal preference options

Q: Why can't I open the spawn menu or Noclip?

A: Being able to do that at will in the game would completely and utterly break the balance. If you're looking to spawn objects or use the noclip command at will you can turn on Developer Mode via TA_DEV_DeveloperMode 1 in the console.

Q: Why can't I pick up items, weapons or finish the level?

A: You have Developer Mode enabled.

Q: What am I supposed to do about [ENEMY]?

A: Kit has an extremely large amount of abilities and tools at her disposal. Try new things, adapt.

Q: Something went wrong and i'm getting a lot of errors in my console, What's wrong?

A: If they are lua errors then please try and disable all of your custom GMod content, including Legacy Addons and try again, If this doesn't work try a full GMod cleanse and if that doesn't work there might be a bug, if that's the case please let me know right away and try to have the error handy. Thanks!

Q: Is there a guide to show me how to do certain in-game actions?

A: Not quite, However there is a Tutorial Section that touches up on all kinds of stuff that you're capable of. Just talk to the Bird.

Q: Do you take suggestions for future updates to your game?

A: I'm more than welcome to hear about constructive feedback or bugs, but features and other game changing updates i would prefer to be kept to a minimum, thanks.

Q: Does this work in Multiplayer?

A: Yes, The host will take the roll of Kit. Clients will take the role of a "Cosmic Helper", designed to create enemies to stop the player from progressing.

Q: Are there items and secrets in all the supported maps?

A: Yes!

Q: How do i add my own custom music?

A: The workshop version of Temporal Assassin uses some round-a-bout ways to get the Music System to work. Please consult the Digitally Occult discord for more information.

Q: What is the phone for?

A: The phone is for activating cheats which you can do by equipping the phone and typing into source engines chat box, the cheat codes themselves you'll have to figure out yourself though by unlocking the true words via the Cheat Menu.

Q: What maps are supported and what can i play this with?

A: All supported content can be found in the Campaign Elevator, Side Mission Door and Sin Hunter Door in the HUB. You can add more to these by downloading custom content packs for Temporal Assassin. They may or may not be uploaded to the workshop by their original porters at some point.

Q: Do the outfits give you different stats or abilities?

A: Yes, All the outfits do give you different stats or abilities. You can unlock them by completing their relative achievements in the Achievements Menu.

Q: [Anything to do with putting temporal assassin content into other gamemodes]

A: No, Never and I would like you to please respect that me and my teams hard work has solely been making sure this content fits with the gameplay of Temporal Assassin. Ripping it all out removes the charm and is also just kind of a crappy thing to do.
