BUG TRACKER, FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS
Bugs, technical troubleshooting, requests, lengthy discussions etc. go here.

Technical details:
- due to modding limitations the trainings will be lost on conversion (does not apply to Mix n Match's modded tazer training)
- manual rescuing wont work unless the hostage is safe: inmates were dealt with and adjacent rooms should probably be secured too
- if for whatever reason the rescue with guards fails repeatedly when running the game at high speed then slow down the in-game time (clock)/re-attempt/make sure there are no stuck guards/order a doctor to move near instead

- works in warden mode
- does NOT work in escape mode (it appears mods that script inmates break some escape mode features, such as recruitment)
- when things calm down hostages that the player didnt manually rescue will eventually be queued to an infirmary bed. Doctors will tend to them after they spend enough time in bed rest.

- the following staff can attempt manual rescues if ordered to by the player, and only if within 6 tiles range:
* armed guards, elite ops, riot guards (preffered)
* (generic) guards, dog handlers, orderlies, snipers, soldiers (if preffered not available)
* warden (1 tile range, only in warden mode)

- the following staff can attempt rescues automatically if they see a hostage nearby:
* doctors, paramedics
* any staff with first aid training (can fail) [Perfect Storm DLC required]

I generally dont comment on these but I am really saddened by the fact there are no modders or advanced players left in this community. There used to be some really talented people in the community in the past and I am really saddened to see not even one of them remained... I really hoped this game would have gained some form of cult following but it looks like it didnt happen...

Sadly, any modders that were left in the community have moved on from Prison Architect. The game & modding community have run its course, and they're moving on to other projects. Hopefully with Prison Architect Two, we see a resurgence in the modding community.

Yeah which is a shame, I was hoping now that we got the last version (meaning no future updates to break mods) there would be a revived interest for modding... But no.

We unfortunately did lose a bunch of modding API features, there are things you can only develop for 2018 edition...

I honesty want to try to play the 2018 version, but it always crashes on me, every single time. I miss when they would actually like, go to the shower and the yard.

Tbh It's also nice that automatic weapons actually work as intended.

is the hostage taking actually logical like if you run the place well they wont care to take the administrators hostage (honestly why did they still riot for that reason but riots in prison architect dont make sense sometimes just like IRL), they wont care to take the janitors hostage if theres alot of them because they are keeping the prison clean (also I think not even prisoners are stupid enough to take janitors hostage because the huge prison is so dirty and there are 3 of them), cooks wont be taken hostage if the meals variety is high I do understand the armed guards and unarmed guards though

No, and likely not doable due to modding limitations. The way it works is that rioting inmates attacking staff have a chance to take hostages when certain conditions are met, if they are rioting it means they are disatisfied anyway and will find something to blame you for.
