Pool Day (Arms Race)

I don't wanna be that guy, but...
Pool Day sucks as a map for AR because of how small it is...

Now, it's fun, it's dynamic, it's iconic, and quite cool looking, but at the same time, the spawns is a mess, and you don't hav time to assess the situation before the protection runs off, especially if you spawned in the opened up sections. knife/zeus kills isn't the challenge on Pool Day, it IS Pool day...

Anyways, not my point, just observations, HOWEVER...

If we treat observations as problems, hypothetically. Is it fixable?

I mean you can't just remove it since it's already added.
You can't expand it, or updcale it, because that's tampering with the layout that makes the map what it is.

You can't go back, you can't go forward. How do you manage the map for the gamemode? Bear in mind, my stance here is neurtral, but since the map made it in the game officially for the 1st time in like 23 or something years - a discussion needs to be had. Plus I'm kinda curious

What I'm considering is changing the spawn locations.
Until now, they've been identical to the ones from the original map, which was intended to be played with rounds, with no player respawn.
There's no fun in spawning, making a step and get spawnkilled in your back, on that I think we can all agree.
Maybe I can move the player spawn locations so that there's always a wall or a corner in your back, and we reduce the risk of getting killed by someone you can't see.

How does it sound to you ?

i mean, i'm fine with whatever, i just brough up a concern. But since we are on the topic of spawns and you brought that up - perhaps cramming spawns closer together inside the lockers areas is good enough on it's own, if we talk about spawns. Also, perhaps putting a spot or 2 in the stalls would work too... (do they open in CS2? Never had time to check)

I've made an update of the map (only on the workshop entry for now, we'll have to wait for a game update for the official version).
I tried to move the spawners closer to the walls and corners to mitigate the risk of getting spawnkilled in the back, I think this will help.
Yes the stalls are functional, you can even lock them from the inside now. But i believe it would feel frustrating to spawn into one as it would take more time and interaction to get out of it than other spawn points, it could feel as the "unlucky spawn point".

Well, we'll see soon enough. I never expected to get heard tbh, and thus only raised concerns to see if I was the only one feeling that way.
