A short blurb about same-sex marriage in M&B, given this is one of the questions I've been asked most about since making the mod. While programming something like this into the game is beyond my ability it turns out there is a way to make it happen in the Native game. It should work for the Native version of this mod as well (since I've done nothing that I'm aware would prevent it). Someone may have to test it in the diplomacy version, as I haven't as of yet.

"Oh yes. I played as a female character, started my own kingdom, and made one of my female companions a lord. Apparently the game treats them as if they were male, so I proposed to her and had a lesbian wedding. It was one of the most ridiculous moments for me playing the game."
