Because japanese Folklore has a mythical thing called a Kitsune that has multiple tails, and yeah its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome.

I personally would like it if the tails were a seperate cosmetic, just saying.

A Kitsune is a part of japanese folklore and one of its signature things is its multiple tails, the amount of tails it had represented its magical power. so pyro being ubered would be a nod to that

thanks for explaining it more snak, really all i knew was just that it had somthing to do with foxes

i do like the idea to add something to make the pyro cool in look and lore but i dont see it happening

It's a hat whatever. If it gets in its just a new option for people who like to make cute pyro loadouts or try theme it into an elemental unusual loadout.

I think the classes ascociation with magic/elements (fire water blah blah blah) should be their main factor for that.
Pyro, being a class based around fire and water plays might have 9 while scout might have 1-2
