Yea if you have compatibile weapon and loaded clips put in somewhere in your base. They should take it

Cheers would you consider adding more text oreder options like the "leave me!" so we can trade items and have them gear up

One thing I've found is if you take a weapon and mags, put them on a corpse and put the corpse next to the NPC. If they are at a guard post, you have to nudge them off it and when they reset to walk back to it, they will pick up the weapon

I may add it one day. It would require more work to implement the UI which takes time. So for now that's the way it works.

Correct. Guard mode means they can't move and that includes weapon collecting.
