Toggleable abilities for all souls,
DT Syringe that will heal the person receiving it a bit and increase their chances of refusing (and kill monsters/white souls) slowly.
Some kind of Soul Damage system, or toggleable magic drain that makes the soul whiter over time when you use the magic. Maybe weapons that have to be held to be used, and when used they hurt the user's soul.
