Wingidon's Miscellaneous Enhancements
Acro Hirelings not using Throwables/throwing in general
So, while testing weapons from another mod (Baguette's Origins), I put a modded throwable on a Stuntman Magiturge hireling and brought him into sleepwalker endless for testing as I wasn't sure if he was even using the nodded throwable. He wasn't. I just chalked it up to it being a modded throwable and maybe he wasn't registering it, so I gave him throwing axes instead. He still wouldn't throw them and instead opted exclusively for unarmed even when there were weapons available on the floor. Tried with my other stuntman hireling, who also happens to be a Magiturge, and got the exact same results

maybe it's because they're magiturge and maybe they prefer ranged weapons over all else, but even my bruiser hirelings are throwing weapons and throwables more commonly than the stuntmen and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed the same

That one can be chalked up to the AI. Sometimes they just... don't use throwables for one reason or another. Them being Magiturge hirelings has nothing to do with it. If you want someone to be more likely to throw grenades:
- All types of Hirelings have a 25% chance to have the GrenadeLover behaviour, which makes them throw grenade-slot weapons more often.
- Ranged Hirelings have a 45% chance to have the behaviour, and Hirelings that use Ranged as their secondary skill have a further 25% chance.
- Acrobatic Hirelings have a 60% chance to have the behaviour, and Hirelings that use Acrobatics as their secondary skill have a further 30% chance.

As for characters resorting to Unarmed, there are a couple of reasons for that:
- Acrobatic & Unarmed focused Hirelings have a chance to have the ThrowsOften behaviour, which makes them throw their melee weapons. Unarmed-focused Hirelings in particular will not attempt to pick up new weapons off the floor, even if they aren't armed.
- If you don't give a Hireling a sidearm, they will holster their weapon when outside of its effective range and then kinda forget about it, throwing hands instead. That's just how the DynamicSwap behaviour works, unfortunately. Not sure where I'd even begin to go about fixing it.
