I have recently been playing Gilded Age pretty regularly with my Victoria 3 playthroughs and before I complain, I would like to make clear that I think the mod is fantastic and I have nothing but praise for the developers.

My issue with the mod comes primarily with the Scramble for Africa interactions, particularly the swift annexations of claimed territory by colonial powers and their puppets in the region. In my example, I have been playing as Italy and I have taken control over much of Sokoto, which British Niger has a claim on. As per the mechanics of the mod, British Niger will attempt to annex it via event and when I refuse, I gain infamy of course. It would be fine if this only happened once, but when it happens repeatedly it can be frustrating as I am building up infamy for nothing. What makes it worse is that when there is an uprising, in my case there was a Hausa uprising in my recently conquered lands in Sokoto, British Niger immediately annexed it through the event before I could even go to war with the uprising. I then decided I would make my lands in Sokoto into Italian Niger through the vanilla colonial administration events, and only a few seconds after I took the decision, British Niger annexed the lands of my puppet that it claimed.

I totally respect that this isn't my mod, so I have no intention to lecture the devs as I'm sure they have a better understanding of this than I do. That being said, I would prefer if requests to annex contested lands in Africa only triggered once per target nation, to avoid repeatedly having to incur the infamy penalty. I would also like if uprisings and colonial administrations weren't annexed this way either, it is incredibly demoralising when this does happen because there's nothing you can do to avoid it. I also think it would be cool if there were ways to change or revoke claims made in the Berlin Conference after the fact, perhaps a decision to start a diplo play that would revoke claims without the need to spend so many maneuvers, or even just reducing the cost of revoking claims in Africa, if such a thing is possible.
