Where's the Terraria?

I'm gonna start this off with saying I did have fun; but I don't see myself coming back to this.

This doesn't feel like Terraria. By that I mean there's no Terraria flair to what is supposed to be a Terraria mod.
  1. There's no potions. Potions feel like a major part of Terraria as they're incredibly helpful. Incorporating healing potions, mana potions, and buffs I believe the gameplay could be highly elevated.
  2. There's no weapon progression. A huge part of Terraria--in my opinion--is the progression of throwing away old weapons for new weapons or transforming old weapons into new weapons. It gets stale using 2 of 6 same weapons.
  3. No accessories or armor! This was a huge letdown. I believe some items we get should be accessories. So essentially, you'd have to choose a select few items that are maybe more powerful than the stackable passives you get every room. Armor that you'd have to assemble the full set of to get a powerful bonus would be great!
  4. Crafting. Getting materials and loot from enemies that you can craft into items would be great. It would add way more depth. The items could be accessories, stackable passive items, or maybe even active items and weapon upgrades!
  5. Grappling hook. God I missed having a grappling hook while playing this. Having an upgradeable grappling hook could help with making new items and mechanics.
  6. Pots, chests, money. I thought it was strange there was no money mechanic or lootables or breakables. I think including the Town NPCs would be a cool feature. They could sell potions, stackable items, the possibilities! Chests would sorta be a rework of the item per room thing. But looting chests to get items--active and passive--and maybe even quest items that pose a challenge, but if you complete it you get a special item! (For example: Carrying the TV in Enter the Gungeon type deal.
  7. Stage hazards! Spikes, vines, boulders, traps... would all be amazing! Even if most Terrarians hate those features in vanilla Terraria, it does add challenge and depth they'll admit.
These are my ideas and criticisms, they'd definitely be a lot to implement, but I see huge potential in this mod! I hope the developers see this! Bye!
